Last week, Samsung began rolling out the stable build of its OneUI 2.0 custom skin (built on top of Android 10) to the Samsung Galaxy S10 devices in Germany. Surprisingly, the same update is now being rolled out to several other countries including India. What’s even better is the fact that the update is not limited to just the beta testers and non-beta testers can also enjoy the same as the latest Android 10 One UI 2.0 stable update is hitting the devices that have not been enrolled for the One UI 2.0 beta program as well.
Samsung Galaxy S10 devices have started receiving Android 10 One UI 2.0 stable update in India
In case you paid attention, we were surprised to see the update rolling out to the Samsung Galaxy S10 devices. The reason behind this is the official update roadmap by Samsung which still mentions a January Android 10 stable rollout schedule for the same device. Surprising or not, it is good news in any case and since the update has already hit certain regions of the world, we can expect a widespread reach before the end of 2019.
Just in case you are curious, these are the countries that have already started receiving the update – Germany, Panama, South Korea, Spain, France, Vietnam, Poland, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
If you are a resident of any of these countries, you might want to check your device for the update. For that, all you need to do is to go to the settings menu – hit the check for updates option, and if the update has arrived your device, you can get it with the tap of a button. The update sizes 1979.05MB, so you would require a stable internet connection to download the same. Moreover, it is always advisable to backup your important data before updating the device, just to be on the safe side.
As far as the update features are concerned, the latest official update for the Samsung Galaxy S10 devices brings all the goodness of Android 10, as well as One UI 2.0. That, however, is not all as the update comes with the latest December security patch as well. One UI 2.0 focuses on simplicity and providing for “A Refined Experience”. We get a system-wide dark mode with the One UI 2.0 update. Adding to this, the update comes with brightness recognition and an option to amplify the ambient sound. Also, One UI 2.0 comes with a Live Transcribe feature that automatically puts spoken words into a text form on the screen. Just in case you are unaware, the Samsung Galaxy S10 comes with a 6.1 inches (15.49 cm) Advanced AMOLED Infinity-O Display with a QHD+ resolution. The device is powered with an octa-core Exynos 9820 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. At the back, we get a triple rear camera (12MP + 12MP+ 16MP).
